Welcome to Taldysai’s first website. Taldysai is a small village located in the Kobda region of the Aktobe Oblast in Kazakhstan. The population is roughly 1,000 with a make up of roughly 95% Kazakh and 5% Russian. The village is located in the steppe, and its climate is known for its cold winters with temperatures reaching -40c. In the spring time the steppe turns green and fertile. Directly behind the village is a large river running through endless rolling hills, where animals both wild and domestic graze.
Taldysai is a very family oriented village. Taldysai Secondary School is the center of everything in Taldysai. Many of the employed citizens work at the school. Much of the efforts and resources are put towards the education and upbringing of the children. The school is newly renovated and equipped with a new gym, computer lab, wood shop, home economic class, auditorium, and even a smartboard classroom.
