Our student Dzhamilya conducted interviews with some local uinversitystudents who study English in Astana.
Dzhamilya: In which university do you study? Which faculty do you study?
Amir Budusov: I study at the Eurasian national university named about after N.Gumilyov in the philological faculty of foreign languages.
Dzhamilya: Is knowledge of the English language in the University necessary?
Amir: Yes, of course. I think that the knowledge of foreign languages is necessary everywhere, especially the knowledge of the English language. The time demands the knowledge of the language. If you are going abroad you must learn English, as it is the language of international communication. Even if you have an elementary knowledge of the English language it is never too late to start learning. The main thing is to have the strong desire. For example in the facility where I study, students may enter with an elementary level of knowledge of English.
Dzhamilya: Are there advantages or privileges for the owners of badge ”Altyn belgi”?
Amir: Yes, there are. Firstly: The main important thing is free education. The owners of badge “Altyn belgi” have a chance to get a free grant.
Secondly: It is a scholarship. The owners of badge “Altyn belgi” have the additional scholarship. It is 7.000 tenge.
Thirdly: We are given free living in the students’ dormitory.
Dzhamilya: Who played the main role in getting the badge “Altyn belgi”?
Amir: In the first place it is our teachers. They taught us. They gave us moral support. Parents played no small role either. They rendered moral and financial support. And at last my classmates and friends. Though some of my classmates were my rivals, they were nice to me. Thanks to them I did not lose courage. On the contrary I tried not to be behind the rest of them. I wanted to be a leader and I achieved that aims.
Dzhamilya: What advice would you give students to be as successful as you?
Amir: the main thing is not to be lazy, overcome laziness. Don’t conflict with teachers even if they yell at you sometimes.
You should work hard. No pain, no gain.

Tairova Dzhamilya the chief editor of our school newspaper “Cool school” got an interview with the owners of “Altyn belgi” badge. They came to Taldysai from Astana to spend autumn holidays. They shared their impressions and opinions.

Danabeck Baimucashev: I study at the Eurasian national university named after N. Gumilyov in the physical and technical department.
Dzhamilya: Is knowledge of the English language in the University necessary?
Danabeck: English is the language of progressive science and technology. Today it is the language of the world.
Dzhamilya: Are there advantages or privileges for the owners of badge ”Altyn belgi”?
Danabeck: I entered the University without any competition. Some of the privileges still remain for me.
1. I am provided free living in the students’ dormitory.
2. I have free education. I have the grant for technical profession.
3. I am given the additional scholarship . It is 7 thousand tenge.
Dzhamilya: Who played the main role in getting the badge “Altyn belgi”?
I am very obliged to our teachers, parents, friends.
Dzhamilya: What advice would you give students to be as successful as you?
Danabeck: I advice students not to believe anybody when you pass exams, don’t be afraid of anybody, never ask or beg anybody, study hard, respect your teachers, go on learning English as much as possible. And in the near future it will help you to become highly qualified specialists and happy citizens of our Republic.
